Airbnb Issues Statement Involving Starlet Wahu’s Murder: “It is Not Connected to us in Any Way”

Nairobi, Kenya, January 10- Airbnb, an online platform facilitating property rentals, has addressed the tragic incident involving the murder of Starlet Wahu.

Responding to the widespread coverage linking the company to the events that unfolded on January 3, Airbnb clarified that the house involved was not booked through their platform. The spokesperson emphasized that the suspect, John Matara, does not possess an Airbnb accoun

“We are deeply saddened to learn of this shocking event but it is important to make it clear that thus is not connected to Airbnb in any way.”

In the statement, Airbnb expressed deep sadness regarding the shocking event and underscored the lack of any connection between the incident and their platform.

“Our thoughts are with the victim’s loved ones during this unimaginable difficult time.”
