Entertainer Allan Ochieng Alias ‘Hype Ballo’ Charged with Murder of DCI Officer Felix Kelian

NAIROBI, Kenya, April 23- Popular entertainer Allan Ochieng, also known as Hype Ballo, appeared in Kiambu High Court on Monday, facing charges of murdering Felix Kelian Kintosi, a DCI officer from DCI Dagoretti who was stationed at Kabete Police Station.
Ochieng denied the accusations against him. Prosecution counsel Jenifer Ndeda, representing the ODPP, requested his detention pending the completion of a social inquiry report by Probation and Aftercare.
Lady Justice Dorah Chepkwony granted the prosecution’s request, remanding Ochieng in Nairobi remand prison for an additional 7 days.
Ochieng was apprehended along with six others, including Dj Joe Mfalme, in connection with Kintosi’s murder. The other six individuals were subsequently released and enlisted as prosecution witnesses.
A hearing for Ochieng’s bail or bond application is scheduled for May 2.
