Late CDF General Francis Ogolla To Be Buried On Sunday, Family Confirms

NAIROBI, Kenya, April 19- The family of the late Chief of Kenya Defence Forces (CDF) Francis Ogolla has confirmed that his funeral will take place on Sunday, April 21st, in accordance with his wishes, just 72 hours after his untimely passing.
In a statement, the family announced, “The funeral will be held at his beloved residence in Mor, Alego, Siaya County.”
The statement also noted that a solemn service will be conducted at his local church in Nduru, offering an opportunity for friends, family, and colleagues to pay their respects.
“Additionally,” the statement continued, “a Memorial Service is scheduled for Friday, April 26th, 2024, at the Ulinzi Sports Complex in Langata, where General Ogolla often found solace during his routine runs.”
The service aims to honor his life and legacy, celebrating his unwavering commitment to service, love, generosity, and devotion, which deeply impacted all who knew him.
“We appreciate your prayers and support during this difficult time,” the statement concluded.
General Ogolla tragically lost his life in a helicopter crash on Thursday in the Sindar area of Elgeyo Marakwet County.
President William Ruto declared three days of national mourning in recognition of the profound loss of General Francis Ogolla.
