NAIROBI, Kenya, August 1- Tiktoker, Brian Chira, has been reportedly suspended from Kabarak University for the defamatory case against radio host, Azziad Nasenya for hurling insults using his TikTok account.

Chira was arrested last week and taken to court on Monday where the case was heard. He however denied the charges before Kibera Principal Magistrate Renee Kitagwa.

Tiktoker Brian Chira Wambui was then released on Sh50,000 cash bail with the surety of the same amount.

The case is to be mentioned on September 12.

Kenyans on twitter have however expressed their opinions on Chira’s suspension highlighting the unfairness of his suspension;

“Kwani who is Azziad?? Why should Brian Chira be suspended for what he did outside the school? It’s just a petty crime. Kabarak University is stooping below its standards. But all in all we know who is behind all this.” – The Government Critic @magwaz3

“If Brian Chira can be suspended from Kabarak University for insulting Azziad through social media, then the amount of woman dominance in this society is insane.” – 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐥 𝐌𝐀𝐒𝐇@254_icon

“Kwani who is Azziad in this country? Men, the system is rigged against us. Sad and very unfortunate!” –

Chira was picked by detectives last week in Nakuru after allegedly making defamatory accusations about Azziad.

According to Nasenya’s lawyer, her client opted to take legal action against the TikToker for the alleged defaming of her and harming her brand.

The lawyer went on to claim that Chira leaked Azziad’s phone number to the public something that has caused her distress – with strangers calling to abuse her.
