Tragic Toll Rises: One More Victim Found in Mai Mahiu Floods While 29 Still Missing

NAIROBI, Kenya, May 7- Another corpse has been retrieved during the ongoing rescue operation in Mai Mahiu, Nakuru County, where devastating floods claimed the lives of more than 60 individuals following the overflow of a dam in the vicinity, washing away homes.
Nakuru County Commissioner Lyford Kibaara disclosed that this latest recovery brings the confirmed death toll to 61. This discovery was made on Monday evening as part of the efforts led by personnel from the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) and National Youth Service (NYS).
Meanwhile, the search persists for 29 individuals who remain missing.
